2. Will Fuller V (Texans)

Whenever there were rumors about the Packers possibly trading for Will Fuller ahead of the 2020 deadline, the big knock against that possibility was that the Texans wide receiver was set to hit free agency in the offseason. Well, now he’s about to hit the market and Green Bay could have the chance to sign the elite big-play threat.

Fuller is lightning in a bottle personified. He’s long struggled to stay on the field consistently but, when he has played, he’s been explosive in the highest regard. It feels like he’s going to score any time that he suits up and stays on the field.

The fact that Fuller has not played more than 11 games in any of the past four seasons will likely depress his value in free agency but that’s to the Packers’ benefit. If he can come at a reasonable price, he’s an ideal target for Green Bay’s offense.

1. Curtis Samuel (Panthers)

For my money, no player would be better for the Packers offense in terms of possible receivers in 2021 NFL free agency than Curtis Samuel. The Ohio State product and former Panther would be an absolute gem in the Green Bay offense.

Matt LaFleur has proven his merit as a play-caller but he’s also not had a weapon as versatile as Samuel. Able to work underneath and deep with his speed and quickness in the passing game but also capable of taking hand-offs and so on in unique formations, versatility is the name of Samuel’s game.

Again, the Packers don’t have the smaller, shifty and versatile wide receiver in their offense and, frankly, it’s shown at times. Adding Samuel would change that immediately and Green Bay should leave no stone unturned as it pertains to making room to bring him on board.
