3. Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, LB, Notre Dame

What I’m about to say is a bit oxymoronic. Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah is a versatile player. The Fighting Irish prospect does jump off the screen. He’s a mover who matches up well against big slots and tight ends. He offers a little something as a pass rusher when he asked to blitz up the middle and off the edge.

However, Owusu-Koramoah doesn’t possess scheme versatility. His lack of size is concerning for teams that don’t operate entirely from 4-3 base defense. He’s strictly a WILL outside linebacker who acts effectively as a box safety. The 6-2, 216-pound backer is a liability against the run due to his lack of play strength.

Sure, he’s a plus pass rusher but he’s not a fit for teams looking to play him on the edge. Some may liken him to Isiah Simmons from Clemson, but he’s not the same prospect. A better comp is New York Giants hybrid safety, Jabrill Peppers.

I can’t help but think Haason Reddick’s 2020 success will help Owusu-Koramoah’s draft stock. Teams looking for a top 15 linebacker should have Zaven Collins in their sights instead.
