Dallas Cowboys remain defensive in 7-Round NFL mock draft post-first wave free agency

We add another offensive lineman here in Robert Jones from Middle Tennessee. At 6-foot-4 and 319-pounds, Jones is considered a mauler who had his way with defensive linemen in the Conference USA. The problem is, he hasn’t been able to showcase his talent against too many elite competitors.
For that reason, Jones slides into the sixth-round but he could be a steal for the Cowboys if they’re able to get him developed.
Blake Bell left Dallas after just one season and returned to the Kansas City Chiefs. It’s hard to blame him for leaving since he was likely never going to see the ball after the way Dalton Schultz broke out in 2020 — also with Blake Jarwin coming back, there’s even less room for a tight end.
Right now, the third tight end is Sean McKeon who was a rookie out of Michigan last season. Now, they add McKeon’s former teammate, Nick Eubanks in the sixth-round. The 256-pound Eubanks is more of a blocker who can also line up as an H-back. The fact that Dallas loves running the ball could help him as he tries to make the team.
Likely a special teams player early on, K.J. Britt is a player who has some instincts but needs to develop more in the passing game.
He also has to find a way to become more consistent when it comes to tackling but he could be a player to try and groom for the future.
