One area the Chicago Bears need to address is the wide receivers corps. They went a long way by tagging and keeping Allen Robinson so he’ll continue to be their No. 1 guy. They also have Darnell Mooney, who had a very good rookie campaign in 2020.

The problem is what they have after those two players. They still have Anthony Miller, but he’s on the trading block. He had a terrible ejection in the Bears’ playoff game and it doesn’t look like he’ll return.

Javon Wims has seen limited action in his three seasons in Chicago. He also had a bad ejection and a suspension because of it, but it was during the regular season. Miller’s happened in the playoffs with the team already down a receiver with Mooney’s injury.

Then there is Riley Ridley. He’s played in only five games in each of his two seasons with the Bears. The coaches keep saying he’s impressive during practices but then he ends up getting deactivated in nearly every game. It’s time for the coaches to finally decide to use him or just cut him.

With that being said, the Bears need more receivers. After their failed attempt to bring Golladay in, they’ll probably try to sign another veteran. Despite that, they need another receiver.

Simi Fehoko can be a good pick here.

If the Bears eventually to part ways with Robinson via trade, Fehoko has some of the same traits. He measures in at 6-4, 227 pounds so he has great size, He uses his big body to outmuscle cornerbacks and his physicality wears defenders down.

Fehoko has great hand/eye coordination and does a great job of tracking the ball in the air. He does a good job of making the catch away from his body if he needed to do so with his soft, strong hands. Fehoko also works with the quarterback if things break down. He’ll follow the quarterback to get open.

Fehoko has good, not great speed. He also lacks a quick burst. He still does a good job of making big plays, however, by running great routes and using his size to break a big play. He’ll be a great possession receiver as well as a red-zone target by being the bigger man and outworking the defender.
