The Chicago Bears continue to address the wide receivers corps by picking up Tyler Vaughns out of Southern California. He can play both on the inside as well as the outside receiver spot. He isn’t the greatest blocker on the run, but he is willing and that will help him become a better blocker.

Vaughns does a good job of finding open holes in the zone. He possesses good hands. He catches the ball at its highest point and yanks it out of the air.

At 6-2, Vaughns has good length. He uses his length to shield defenders and does a good job of making contested catches. In red-zone situations, he is a good slant option. On fades, he can outjump defenders to make the catch.

Vaughns is a steady player. He just keeps making catches. He finished with 222 catches in his career, good for the third-most in USC history.

Vaughns needs to bulk up a little if he wants to enjoy a long career in the NFL. He might not be a great player, but as I mentioned earlier, he is steady. He can make some big catches for touchdowns or move the chains.
