Pick Analysis. player. 31. Scouting Report. CB. Virginia Tech. Caleb Farley. 11

The New York Giants have been rather active in free agency. On Saturday, they landed their No. 1 wide receiver, coming to terms with Kenny Galloday on a four-year deal. That also ended up signing Kyle Rudolph and while the veteran tight end is not what he used to be, he does offer up a player with sure hands who understands his role in an NFL offense.

On top of that, the Giants have Jason Garrett as the offensive coordinator and he’s shown in the past that he loves to get his tight ends involved in the game. In the end, Rudolph could take over for Evan Engram who struggled with drops, or maybe he could push him to improve as a player.

With the additions made to the offensive side of things in free agency, the Giants turn to defense in this mock by taking Caleb Farley from Virginia Tech.

Farley opted out of the 2020 season due to concerns over COVID-19 which kept us from being able to see him get another season of experience under his belt. That could have gone a long way in evaluating him since Farley is a converted wide receiver who has been great since switching to the defensive side of the ball. He doesn’t look like a player with hardly any experience as a corner but that doesn’t mean he comes with some question marks.

There are those who believe he’s a boom-or-bust prospect, which is why he lasts until No. 11 after Dallas went for Jaycee Horn in this 2021 NFL Mock Draft.
