2021 NFL Mock Draft, post-free agency: Browns land Micah Parsons, Falcons shock with Kyle Pitts

Adding Carson Wentz in a trade with the Eagles was really a good move by the Indianapolis Colts. Wentz might have struggled over the past couple of seasons in Philly but he’s proven in the past that he can get it done — and he’s even played at an MVP level.
In 2017, he was one of the best quarterbacks in the game but the Eagles started to doubt him when he tore his ACL and Nick Foles came in and won the Super Bowl for them. They did end up signing him to an extension and let Foles leave but then Philly turned around and drafted Jalen Hurts not even a full calendar year after extending Wentz.
Now, Wentz rejoins Frank Reich who was his offensive coordinator in 2017 when he was on fire. Reich understands how to get the most out of Wentz and that could lead to a smooth transition as they have gone from Philip Rivers to Wentz.
Having said all that, the Colts can’t do what the Eagles did and leave it all up to Carson Wentz. They need to actually land some talent around him, especially at wide receiver. They do exactly that with the selection of Terrace Marshall, Jr. from LSU.
Marshall went from the third weapon behind Justin Jefferson and Ja’Marr Chase to the star of the team when Jefferson went pro and Chase opted out. He handled that with ease and proved he deserves to go on the first night of the draft.
