Penei Sewell. player. Scouting Report. OT. Oregon. 3. 59. Pick Analysis

(Pick via Houston Texans): After just missing out on the playoffs despite winning 10 games, the Miami Dolphins are in great shape in the 2021 NFL Draft. They own this selection from the Houston Texans and they have filled a couple of their biggest needs as well in free agency. So far, their biggest signing was Will Fuller, who gives them a player capable of scoring from anywhere on the field.

Miami also landed Matt Skura who will start at center and running back Malcolm Brown — giving them someone capable of handling the load there. They also were able to bring in Robert Foster, rounding out their receiving corps. Miami even replaced Ryan Fitzpatrick with the signing of Jacoby Brissett and with the struggles Tua has had staying healthy, landing a solid No. 2 quarterback was a wise move.

In recent mock drafts, Miami has been all-in on a wide receiver but that changes with the commitment they made to Fuller. Putting him and DeVante Parker on the same team gives them a capable receiving corps so instead, they take the best player available in Penei Sewell from Oregon.

If the Dolphins want to take the next step on offense, improving their line will be key. Right now, they’re not terrible in this regard but a sure-fire starter such as Sewell is hard to pass up.
