2021 NFL Mock Draft, post-free agency: Browns land Micah Parsons, Falcons shock with Kyle Pitts

Justin Fields was already considered a stud in the 2021 NFL Draft but then he just reminded everyone how athletic he really is during his pro day. While just about every quarterback looks great in the passing drills while wearing shorts with no pads (sorry Teddy Bridgewater who happens to be the current quarterback for the Carolina Panthers), Fields stood out due to his speed.
The former Ohio State standout posted a 4.41 in the 40, which is phenomenal for a quarterback. While that speed is amazing, Fields is special since he doesn’t need to utilize it very often. Yes, he can flip field position in the blink of an eye when there’s a lane but he’s still a quarterback who will make his money with his arm.
And in this 2021 NFL Mock Draft, he lasts until the eighth pick, which is where the Panthers gladly take him. Current starter, Teddy Bridgewater is in the second year of a three-year contract but there’s been no indication that the team wants him to be the guy full-time. Instead, he appears to be a stop-gap player and while he’s one of the easiest players to root for, it’s hard to envision him beating out Fields even with the rookie never taking a snap in the NFL.
