Two blockbuster trades involving the Miami Dolphins, San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles have shaken up the 2021 NFL Draft order in a big way.

Just when it seemed like NFL free agency was reaching a bit of a respite and that things could be quiet for a while, chaos broke loose involving trades in the 2021 NFL Draft. Three teams picking in the top 12 of April’s draft will now be selecting at a different spot in that range.

Things first began with the Miami Dolphins and San Francisco 49ers completing a trade that sent the latter the third-overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft in exchange for the No. 12 pick, a 2022 third-round pick and a pair of future first-round picks.

But just in case you thought the calamity stopped there, it only continued thereafter as the Dolphins then traded the No. 12 pick to the Philadelphia Eagles, along with their 2022 first-round pick and a mid-round pick swap, in exchange for the No. 6 overall pick in 2021.

While we can surmise that the 49ers moved up to get in range for one of the top quarterback prospects, it will be interesting to see what else the Dolphins and Eagles have in store. Of course, these trades have shaken things up in a big way. So let’s regroup and take a look at the 2021 NFL Draft order after Friday’s deals.

With how wild this offseason has already been and with five potential first-round quarterbacks coming off the board, it would be foolish to think this is the last of the draft-related trades we’ll see over the next month.
