2021 Fantasy Football Rookie Running Back No. 8: Jermar Jefferson

The 5-10, 217-pound junior out of Oregon State will have his Pro Day on April 1 after showcasing impressive contact balance an agility in a shortened 2020 season. Jefferson averaged 6.0 yards per carry and scored 29 touchdowns in his college career, but questions currently surround his ability to be a consistent difference maker in the passing game at the NFL level.

Despite leaving a full season of eligibility on the table, Jefferson departs Corvallis as the fifth-leading rusher in school history. The Doak Walker Award semifinalist ran for 858 rushing yards on 133 carries in a COVID-shortened, six game junior season.

For all of the amazing traits on display in his highlight reels, Jefferson needs to get a bit stronger and improve his ability to break tackles, especially near the line of scrimmage.

However, if he can improve in this area while refining his receiving and blocking skills, the sky’s the limit for the former Beaver in fantasy football circles.
