Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. player. . Notre Dame. Liam Eichenberg . . 819

The 6-6, 305-pound Liam Eichenberg is a lineman who is ready for the NFL and should have no problem adjusting to the professional game. He isn’t the most athletic player but uses sound technique to get the job done. Additionally, He has great strength and can move bodies around. He will be the running back’s best friend.

Eichenberg does a good job of letting the pass rusher declare before he adjusts and stops him. While his athleticism is just adequate, he has good body control and quickness to get to the second level.

Eichenberg does a good job of turning the defender and opening up run lanes. If the pass rusher discards his initial punch, he is able to quickly reset and fire again. He is a better run blocker than pass protector, but he is smooth as a pass blocker. He has a high football IQ and can anticipate what the pass rusher wants to do.

Eichenberg has some mean streak in him. He looks to hit multiple players. He learned under Quenton Nelson and we know how mean and nasty he is. Eichenberg sometimes plays too forward when going after defenders and can get unbalanced. He needs to sink his butt more so he can anchor better.

He has the tools to be a good NFL player. He’ll likely end up starting at right tackle and play well there.
