Aaron Rodgers hosting Jeopardy! and turning it into a great cause
Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will begin his hosting stint on Jeopardy! on Monday, April 5 for two weeks but it will all benefit a great cause.
Despite being one of the most talented quarterbacks in NFL history (if not the most gifted), Green Bay Packers signal-caller and reigning MVP Aaron Rodgers has always had interests off the gridiron. And though he’s still playing at a high level, he’ll get to pursue one of those interests in the offseason as he gets to host Jeopardy!.
The legendary quiz show has been rotating guest hosts since the heartbreaking death of Alex Trebek and Rodgers is the latest to be tapped for the gig. His hosting stint will begin airing on the Monday, April 5 episode and will last over two weeks.
Rodgers has already said that he’s been preparing relentlessly to “crush” the opportunity at hand. That’s no surprise given the relentless competitor he’s been throughout his football career — but it should also be noted that it could be a pseudo-audition for some sort of job in his post-NFL life.
While it will be interesting to see how the Packers quarterback fares as the Jeopardy! host, one thing that’s certain is that Rodgers is helping to turn the experience into something positive for the community.

Aaron Rodgers hosting Jeopardy! will directly help small businesses deal with the negative financial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
As mentioned in the tweet above, the quiz show is prepared to match the winnings of all the contestants while Rodgers is the host in donations to the North Valley Community Foundation’s Aaron Rodgers Small-Business COVID-19 Fund.
The fund was set up, as is obvious in the name, to help small businesses in Northern California in the Chico area with any financial hardships brought about by the pandemic. That’s a terrific cause, without question, that Rodgers has been instrumental in creating for his hometown.
So while many NFL fans would already be tuning in so to watch Rodgers as the host, they can now do so while knowing it’s all going towards something positive overall. That’s a story that even a Bears fan could get behind.
