1. Kyle Pitts, TE, Florida

Kyle Pitts is rising up draft boards all across the draft spectrum — for good reason. The nearly 6-6, 245-pound tight end has an insane wingspan with elite athletic traits. He truly is a mismatch weapon, a nightmare for any defensive back or linebacker. He’s earned a top-five spot on most draft boards.

Teams running 12-personnel looking for an inline blocking tight end will vastly hinder what he does best, however. Pitts should line up as an F tight end who’ll work the middle of the field. He’s a plug-and-play big slot who’ll force coaches to bring in an extra DB on running downs. Coordinators could put a linebacker on him but, with his 4.4 speed and quickness, they have no shot.

Pitts’ greatest gift is his ability to play wide and work the boundary. He’s great at in-breaking routes, displays excellent hands, elite catch radius and body control.

The former Florida Gator will hear his name called within the first 10 picks in the 2021 NFL Draft. He could go as early as No. 2 to the Jets. Or No. 6 to the Miami Dolphins. No matter where he goes, his success isn’t necessarily determined by team fit but more so by how the team he lands with uses him. He’s a super-sized wide receiver and must be used as such.
