17. Scouting Report. Christian Darrisaw. OT. West Virginia. player. 28. Pick Analysis

It’s really hard to figure out what the Las Vegas Raiders were trying to do this offseason. It was almost as if they watched the tape of their offensive line and decided that being good wasn’t right, so they blew it all up.

Gone is pretty much the entire middle of their line — well, except for Richie Incognito and Kolton Miller. Miller was just given a mega-extension making him one of the highest-paid in the NFL and while he’s been solid, that seems to be a stretch.

As for Incognito, he has an incredible rap sheet of offenses that make it a shock that he’s still in the NFL. Plus he’s going to be 38 this year and coming off a serious Achilles injury. But we all know that Jon Gruden absolutely loves old players, so that was a given.

With all that said, the Raiders need to once again rebuild their line. That being the goal, they take Christian Darrisaw out of West Virginia.

One of the top prospects along the offensive line, Darrisaw should be able to start right away on the right side of the line for Vegas. It won’t make up for everything they gave up this offseason, but he feels like a ‘can’t miss’ prospect and should be a step in the right direction.
