2021 NFL Mock Draft: 49ers land Mac Jones, Kyle Pitts falls to Giants

The Pittsburgh Steelers defense already has a top-tier linebacker in Devin Bush, Jr. But in their 3-4 defense, they could use another player next to him, and one who could be a great fit is Jeremiah Owusu-Koromoah from Notre Dame.
Owusu-Koromoah is a hybrid player who checks in at just 216 pounds. He has the build and coverage ability to play safety but his instincts and toughness are perfect for a linebacker.
Pittsburgh had tried to move Marcus Allen from safety to linebacker and it may have saved his career. Allen had two tackles in his first two campaigns before recording 30 last season in 14 games with two starts.
Owusu-Koromoah could end up taking over that role from Allen and performing at an even higher level. Of course, there will be calls for the Steelers to go after an offensive player but this is a team that has always boasted a nasty defense. Adding Owusu-Koromoah allows them to stay elite despite losing one of their stars in Bud Dupree in free agency.
It also keeps the front seven looking mean with Owusu-Koromoah and Bush starting alongside T.J. Watt, the rising star Alex Highsmith, and then Stephon Tuitt, Tyson Alualu, and Cameron Heyward. It won’t be easy to move the ball on them.
