NFL trades are rare to a certain degree. Unlike other sports leagues such as the NBA and MLB where players tend to switch teams early and often, trades in the NFL don’t take place at a high frequency. Yet, when they do, they usually shake things up in a major way.

Like always, trades are almost like a guessing game. Sure a player you’re interested in looks good on film and on the opposite side of the field, but how does said player perform in your building in your system? There have been way too many trades in NFL history that have been flat-out awful for one of, if not both teams. With that said, there have plenty of instances where a franchise hit the ball right out of the park.

Each franchise has its own unique story to tell but for now, we’re going to focus on the good rather than the bad. While there have been a number of great trades for every team, there’s always one that sticks out as the moment that franchise got their man and he lived up to or exceeded the hype. Bringing a championship isn’t always the end all be all in a trade, sometimes, simply producing at a high level while contributing to winning is all that matters. For others, however, the trade can be so lopsided that even if said player doesn’t perform to the best of his abilities, it was still worth it.

So which trade for every NFL team does a fanbase often times look back upon and smile? Well, you’re about to find out.
