2. Charles Snowden, EDGE, Virginia

When looking at Virginia pass rusher Charles Snowden, one thing really stands out — his incredible length. The Cavaliers outside linebacker stands in at an imposing 6-6 and has long arms to boot. What he doesn’t have, is a super thick frame.

Right now, Snowden is listed at just 233 pounds, which is pretty slight for his height. That won’t prevent him from seeing the field, but it does limit which teams might go after him.

For the most part, teams that run a 4-3 defense aren’t going to have much interest in him. Instead, Snowden looks the part of a 3-4 outside linebacker who will be used to rush the passer.

While with Virginia, this was the role he had and he proved to be very effective. He’s quick and slippery and makes his decisions on the field in a hurry. He finished his four-year career with 191 tackles, 30.5 for a loss, and 15 sacks — he added two interceptions and 15 pass defenses for good measure.

He really was coming on late in his career with 21 of his tackles for a loss and 11 sacks coming in his final two seasons. If he can fill out his frame and continue to develop at the next level, he could end up carving out a nice role for himself as a pro.
