The Dallas Cowboys address their defense and Justin Fields falls to the ninth pick overall in this three-round 2021 NFL Mock Draft

The 2021 NFL Draft is right around the corner and we’re starting to get a better feel on what many of the teams are going to attempt to do.

Sure, there will always be smokescreen and some attempt at deceit but with free agency largely in the rearview, rosters have taken much better shape than even a few weeks ago. For that reason, we’re able to better guess which players will be targeted by each franchise.

With all that being said, we dive into our latest three-round 2021 NFL Mock Draft which continues to be unsurprising at pick No. 1 with the Jacksonville Jaguars taking the podium with a rather easy pick to predict.

1. Jacksonville Jaguars: Trevor Lawrence, QB, Clemson

There’s really no drama here. The league has been trying for years now to keep from ‘tipping’ the picks and that seems to include the No. 1 pick. In the past, teams would not only let it be known who they were taking, but they even engaged in contract talks.

But now, we’re supposed to believe it’s suddenly such a grueling decision that they need the entire offseason plus the final 15 minutes once on the clock to actually make the move. It’s pretty funny, but hey, that’s entertainment, right?

Even with the Jaguars not coming out and saying it, they’re going to pick Trevor Lawrence at No. 1 overall. Urban Meyer is taking over this franchise and if he’s going to succeed, he needs to get a franchise quarterback and there hasn’t been one as ready to start as Lawrence in nearly 10 years.
