1. Jaelan Phillips, EDGE, Miami

Getting an edge rusher, or someone who can help get to the quarterback is a top priority for the Dolphins. Losing Kyle Van Noy and Shaq Lawson hurt the Fins defense. Lawson was a guy who could line up at the base end and set the edge against the run. he could also line up wide and get after the quarterback. Jaelan Phillips is someone who the Fins could take if he falls into their laps. Flores needs an edge with versatility, Phillips is that guy

Phillips has some medical red flags and concerns that could see him slip despite his elite traits. The 6-5, 260-pound edge rusher ran a jaw-dropping 4.56-second 40 at the Hurricanes’ Pro Day.

No. 18 is the right spot to take a guy who can play the pass and run equally well. He’s strong enough to line up inside and rush from the three-technique. At the end of the day, fluid explosive former Hurricane is best when coming off the edge.
