Ravens 7-round mock draft after Orlando Brown Jr. trade
Mark Andrews has disappointed some people, though that may be a product of him having to play such a huge role in the passing offense. But what’s clear is that the tight end room could use some bolstering moving forward. And Kylen Granson is an intriguing and unique prospect to bank on.
Baltimore loves to use their tight ends in multiple roles and that’s where Granson thrives as an undersized player at the position. While he’s not overly strong or an exceptional athlete, he’s solid in every facet of his game and could be a move piece in this offense to further open things up.
We’re going back to the wide receiver well and taking a flier on Josh Imatorbhebhe simply because you can’t teach the things that the Illinois pass-catcher brings to the table. While he was never a star in college and, frankly, never produced as many thought he should, the 6-2, 215-pounder is an absolutely absurd athlete for a player his size. If the Ravens can coach him up on the nuances of playing receiver, his upside is absolutely enormous.
Cornerback certainly isn’t a dire need for Baltimore with Marlon Humphrey, Marcus Peters and veteran Jimmy Smith all in the fold. But having more depth at corner is never a bad thing, so a late-round flier on Bryan Mills would ultimately make sense.
Mills needs to put on some more weight to handle NFL physicality but he has the tools to be an effective press-man cornerback at the next level, which is exactly what the Ravens love. Banking on his potential as a small-school product could reap big rewards for them down the line.
