3-Round 2021 NFL Mock Draft: Broncos, Bears trade up for quarterbacks
By Randy Gurzi
81. Miami Dolphins: Trey Smith, IOL, Tennessee
A stud in pass protection, Trey Smith can help Tua take the next step in Miami. He was a former tackle who took a huge step forward when he moved to guard.
82. Washington Football Team: Davis Mills, QB, Stanford
At pick No. 82, the Football Team adds a quarterback to groom in Davis Mills. He has all the tools and could be a solid player with patience and solid coaching.
83. Chicago Bears: Amon-Ra St. Brown, WR, US
The Bears don’t have Allen Robinson locked up long-term, so they need to add some more help just in case. Enter Amon-Ra St. Brown who has some potential.
84. Philadelphia Eagles (via Indianapolis Colts): Spencer Brown, OT, Northern Iowa
Philly’s offensive line has regressed in recent years which is why they grab Spencer Brown here. A massive player, Brown should be able to improve things up front for the Eagles.
85. Tennessee Titans: Pete Werner, LB, Ohio State
Peter Werner is a solid coverage linebacker and in a pass-happy NFL, you can never have too many of those.
86. New York Jets (via Seattle Seahawks): Hunter Long, TE, Boston College
Another target for Zach Wilson, Hunter Long could become a starting tight end rather quickly for the Jets.
87. Pittsburgh Steelers: Benjamin St-Juste, CB, Minnesota
With Justin Layne in some hot water, the Steelers could use more cornerbacks — which leads to the selection of Benjamin St-Juste out of Minnesota.
88. Los Angeles Rams: Braden Christensen, OT, BYU
Andrew Whitworth is a stud but he won’t be able to play forever. Los Angeles tabs Braden Christensen as a player to groom behind him.
89. Cleveland Browns: Janarius Robinson, EDGE, Florida State
Jadeveon Clowney’s addition means the Browns aren’t desperate for a defensive end but considering he’s on a one-year deal, they could still add some help in the draft. Janarius Robinson is their choice here and he could develop into a solid force on the edge.
90. Minnesota Vikings (via Baltimore Ravens): Quincy Roche, EDGE, Miami
The Vikings need to add another pass rusher and Quincy Roche offers a high value for them at this point in the draft.
91. Cleveland Browns (via New Orleans Saints) Milton Williams, DT, Louisiana Tech
Sheldon Richardson’s release means Cleveland needs more help at defensive tackle. Malik Jackson, Andrew Billings, and Jordan Elliott have a lot to like about their games which means they can take the majority of the snaps in 2021 while the team develops Louisiana Tech’s Milton Williams.
92. Green Bay Packers: Daviyon Nixon, IDL, Iowa
Daviyon Nixon is a 6-foot-3, 305-pound defensive lineman who can really add some beef to the Packers’ front line.
93. Buffalo Bills: D’Wayne Eskridge, WR, Western Michigan
Emmanuel Sanders will replace John Brown but the Bills need more depth and someone to eventually replace their veteran options. D’Wayne Eskridge is an exciting prospect who can do just that.
94. Baltimore Ravens (via Kansas City Chiefs): Stone Forsythe, OT, Florida
Stone Forsythe won’t be a perfect replacement for Orlando Brown but he could end up being a decent option at right tackle down the road for the Ravens.
95. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Dylan Moses, LB, Alabama
The final selection before diving into the comp picks belongs to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and they add Dylan Moses from Alabama. He was once considered a day one pick but has lost some of his shine. He could still be a good player at the next level, however.
