Detroit Lions: Jaylen Waddle, WR, Alabama

We don’t know yet if Dan Campbell is going to be a good head coach for the Detroit Lions. We do know, however, that he’s going to be a gold mine for memes and GIFs.

He came to the team and started making crazy quotes about biting knee caps — which should be disturbing, but it’s too off the wall to be anything but funny. He also recently was seen typing and he hits the keyboard exactly the way it seems he should after hearing his quotes.

As for the roster itself, the Lions are in a rebuild after trading away Matt Stafford and losing Kenny Golladay and Marvin Jones, Jr. in free agency. There will be calls for them to get a new quarterback but they did land Jared Goff in the trade with the Rams and they could try and see what he’s capable of.

Goff did take Los Angeles to the Super Bowl following 2018 and, while it’s easy to say the team around him was a huge reason why that happened, he did at least show he can make the throws when he has talent around him. With that being the case, Detroit needs to surround him with playmakers and one such playmaker is Jaylen Waddle.

The Alabama standout is a big play waiting to happen and the one thing Goff has done well in his career is hit the big play. They won’t be threatening for the NFC North title in 2021, but adding Waddle would at least give them a competent passing attack.
