Las Vegas Raiders: Christian Barmore, DT, Alabama

Las Vegas Raiders head coach Jon Gruden and general manager Mike Mayock have put a bit of a target on their backs this offseason. They started to get rid of a lot of their talented players including Maurice Hurst, Gabe Jackson, and Rodney Hudson — and they extended Kolton Miller but seem to have overpaid him.

Perhaps they know something we don’t but it feels like a mistake for a regime that still hasn’t finished with a winning record in their three seasons together. But it still feels like they’re taking a major risk and they now have a couple of positions that need to be filled.

Las Vegas could look to add some offensive line help but there’s one player who really seems like a perfect fit, and that’s defensive tackle Christian Barmore. He’s arguably the best defensive tackle in this class and is only getting better — after not playing a ton with the Tide before this season.

Speaking of the Crimson Tide, Gruden and Mayock have made it no secret that they love drafting from this school. That makes Barmore a great fit and hopefully, they won’t randomly cut him in a couple of seasons.
