Miami Dolphins: Kyle Pitts, TE, Florida

It’s the Miami Dolphins draft and we’re all just along for the ride.

Originally slated to draft at No. 3, the Dolphins dropped down to No. 12 in a trade with the San Francisco 49ers. In exchange for their pick, Miami got not only the Niners No. 12 pick but also a first-rounder in 2022 and 2023 as well as a third-round pick in 2022.

Miami wasn’t happy at No. 12, so they packaged that pick as well as a fourth-rounder this season and one of their 2022 first-round picks to move back to No. 6 (and added a fifth-rounder this year as well). So in the end, they landed another first-round pick and dropped back three spots where they could likely still add an elite playmaker — such as Kyle Pitts.

Right now, there’s really no player who would help this offense more than Pitts. Currently, they have Will Fuller, DeVonta Parker, Preston Williams, and Albert Wilson at wideout. At tight end, they have Mike Gesicki who was really good in 2020 with 703 yards and six touchdowns.

As good as he was, they would be vastly improved with the addition of Pitts who has the tools to be one of the most explosive tight ends in the game. Adding him would give them a plethora of options in the passing game and help an already improved team take their next step.
