2021 NFL Draft: One perfect prospect for all 32 teams
By Randy Gurzi
New York Giants: Elijah Moore, WR, Ole Miss
This was a pretty solid offseason for the New York Giants. They finished 6-10 last year and were frustrated at how things played out since they actually should have won their division despite the terrible record.
New York beat Dallas in Week 17 and all they needed was for the Philadelphia Eagles to knock off the Washington Football Team and they would have had the tiebreaker over Dallas and Washington. But then, Philly pulled Jalen Hurts and essentially punted on the game — which led to outrage from the Giants and their fans.
Of course, it’s easy to say they should have just won more than six games and they had a terrible three-game losing streak before their win over Dallas to close out the season. But, they were the best team in the division after their horrendous 0-5 start. They finished 6-5 after that dreadful beginning and even had a four-game winning streak at one point.
Now looking forward to 2021, they added some talent in free agency including cornerback Adoreé Jackson, tight end Kyle Rudolph, and wide receivers Kenny Golladay and John Ross.
They’re much better on paper but could really take off with one more elite playmaker at receiver and Elijah Moore would offer them that. Moore is undersized at 5-9 and 184 pounds but could be an elite slot receiver with Golladay and Darius Slayton manning the outside. On top of that, he could be a great kick returner as well.
