Buffalo Bills: Jayson Oweh, EDGE, Penn State

There really wasn’t any team that took as big of a leap in 2020 as the Buffalo Bills did. While they might not have seen a huge change in their record, the way they performed on the field was a stark contrast from what they had in 2019.

No longer were they a team that competed hard and won just enough games, but now, they were legit contenders. They even made it to the AFC Championship Game where they lost to the Chiefs but still proved they’re a team on the rise.

The main reason for their improvement was the addition of Stefon Diggs who helped Josh Allen put together an MVP-caliber season. Going forward, there’s no reason to think they won’t keep improving — but they do need to improve on defense, primarily at defensive end.

In 2020, they added A.J. Epenesa in the second round and he spent much of the season in a rotational role. They expect him to do more in 2021 but they still need another young option with Jerry Hughes and Mario Addison both over the age of 32.

A great fit for them would be Jayson Oweh from Penn State. He’s explosive off the edge but needs some refinement. He could work behind the aforementioned veterans and in another year, the Bills would be able to trot out both Oweh and Epenesa as their starters, which could be a great dup should they both be able to reach their full potential.
