Chicago Bears 2021 mock draft: Round 6, Pick 208

Justin Hilliard. Linebacker. Pick Analysis. Ohio State. 6. player. 812. Scouting Report

Justin Hilliard can help the Bears at both the inside or outside linebacker position. He can read and diagnose a play quickly and takes proper angles to make the tackle. His ability to keep the action in front of him and not get caught out of position is impressive.

Hilliard gets depth on pass drops and gets to his coverage assignment quickly. He is an extremely hard worker. His teammates and coaches have nothing but great things to say about him and his work ethic. He wasn’t on any scout’s radar two years ago and now is getting some attention because of his hard work. Also, he goes through his assigned gap quickly and doesn’t hesitate.

In addition to linebacker duties, Hilliard was a big contributor on special teams. He recorded 19 career tackles on punt and kick coverage.

Hilliard was the LB4 with the Buckeyes. Down the stretch of the 2020 season, Ohio State suffered some injuries. Hilliard stepped up and made some big plays to help the team get to the College Football Playoff.

Hilliard’s great tackling technique and his hard work on special teams will help him find a spot on a team. He’d be a good addition to the Chicago Bears roster.
