Cleveland Browns add Terrace Marshall, Ifeatu Melifonwu in 7-round mock draft

The Cleveland Browns add wide receiver Terrace Marshall, Jr. and cornerback Ifeatu Melifonwu in this seven-round 2021 NFL Mock Draft
No team has made as many positive changes over the past two seasons as the Cleveland Browns have. They seemed to be trending in the right direction following a 7-8-1 record in 2018 (which was on the heels of a 0-16 campaign the prior season).
But then in 2019, the rails fell off. Despite having loads of talent, the Browns were 6-10 under rookie head coach Freddie Kitchens and he was shown the door — as was general manager John Dorsey.
With Dorsey out, the Browns turned to Andrew Berry who has been phenomenal. He has built a strong roster and head coach Kevin Stefanski won the NFL Coach of the Year honors in 2020. If that wasn’t enough, they loaded up on more talent in free agency and still have the draft to add more players.
Here we look ahead to that draft and predict what Berry will do in his second season at the helm.
Round 1, Pick 26: Terrace Marshall, Jr., WR, LSU
This first pick might seem a little bold but the Browns are actually in a great place to be able to make such a move. While it’s true they need a cornerback, they’re not desperate enough to reach for one just for the sake of taking a cornerback.
They currently have Denzel Ward, Troy Hill, and Greedy Williams. There’s also M.J. Stewart who has been decent at times meaning they have some players who are capable. And with the way this mock fell, there are no players worthy of going 26th overall, so Cleveland takes LSU wide receiver Terrace Marshall, Jr.
With Odell Beckham, Jr. coming off a torn ACL and Rashard Higgins playing on a one-year deal, Marshall offers a player who can help this season as OBJ battles back while giving them options in 2022 — not only with Higgins, but Jarvis Landry as well who has a massive cap hit that doesn’t match his production.
