Round 3, Pick 89: Marlon Tuipulotu, DT, USC

The Browns added Jadeveon Clowney which will be huge for their edge rush but it came at a price. Almost immediately after signing the No. 1 overall pick from 2014, Cleveland released Sheldon Richardson.

Moving on from the veteran saved them roughly $11 million this season but it does hurt the interior of their line. Now, they will be hoping for a big lead from Jordan Elliott who will be the primary reserve behind Andrew Billings (who didn’t play at all in 2020), and Malik Jackson.

With all that being said, Cleveland needs more depth and that’s where Marlon Tuipulotu from USC comes in. They’re not desperate enough to go for a player in the first or second in this draft — and the class isn’t strong enough to warrant that. However, Tuipulotu offers enough upside to be worth a shot at No. 89.

Round 3, Pick 91: Andre Cisco, S, Syracuse

Back on the clock after watching just one pick, Cleveland now adds another safety in Andre Cisco from Syracuse. The second member of the Orange secondary to be drafted, Cisco arguably has the most upside. The problem is, there are concerns due to an injury.

Of course, if he proves to be healthy, this will be an absolute steal at this point. The Browns plan to go deep at safety and Cisco would give them another solid reserve.
