2021 NFL Mock Draft: Bears trade into top 10 in Cohen’s final prediction

If you missed it somehow, I had Detroit make this trade with New England because I feel they could use and want more picks. Either way, I think the Lions just take the best player on the board. I don’t think that includes a wide receiver.
I get the team desperately needs one, and maybe it’s more tempting to take one at No. 15, but I see them targeting either the best defender or offense of lineman available. It’s a deep enough class to secure top receiving talent.
The best thing the Lions can do is draft for value rather than overdraft based on need. Parsons seems to fit that menacing franchise-changing player Detroit — and mainly Dan Campbell — seems to covet. I
f the Patriots stay here, anything is up for grabs. That could include stopping the fall of DeVonta Smith. I also think Parsons could be a great fit for them as well. Interestingly enough, the Lions and the Patriots both could be drafting very similarly in the spot.
