WR. Alabama. DeVonta Smith. 32. Pick Analysis. player. Scouting Report. 16

I can already hear the champagne bottles popping in the Cardinals’ draft room, or whatever snazzy mansion Kliff Kingsbury is drafting from this year.

I firmly believe Arizona will look to upgrade their receiver room in the draft. In fact, I can see them making a move up for one. While I bet they’d prefer Jaylen Waddle, I’m sure they’ll gladly take Smith. Wide receiver isn’t the biggest hole on the roster, but Patrick Surtain and Jaycee Horn were gone.

Again, a trade up to select one of those players seems certainly possible. An edge rusher or offensive lineman makes sense, yet may not be as realistic. Micah Parsons may even be a consideration.

Really, I can’t help but think Arizona covets a flashy piece for their offense. Smith fits the bill. If Surtain and Horn aren’t there, which I don’t expect them to be. I bet they’d consider Zaven Collins, too.

Alternative picks: Trade up, Jaylen Waddle, Jaycee Horn
