23. 30. Pick Analysis. Greg Newsome II. player. Scouting Report. CB. Northwestern

Could the first running back go to New York? I doubt Joe Douglas appreciates that value, especially with No. 34 in his back pocket. He seems like a guy who could just draft the best player available, which I’m sure we can all agree is Greg Newsome.

Sorry, Pittsburgh and Jacksonville, you may have to trade up to take the lengthy Northwestern corner. Last week, I’d be tempted to slot Azeez Ojulari here, but recent whispers of medical concerns may be enough to blow Ojulari out of the first round.

Newsome makes a ton of sense and could easily be available here. I’d start his range at No. 16 for Arizona to 25 for Jacksonville.

Reports of Caleb Farley’s concerning medicals could be enough to keep him off the board until Day 2, though he’s a high-upside player who New York could fall in love with. I’m not buying a receiver here either because of the depth and the Jets’ draft position.

Alternative picks: Kwity Paye, Jaelan Phillips, Caleb Farley
