2021 NFL Mock Draft: Bears trade into top 10 in Cohen’s final prediction
By Zach Cohen
Wide receiver, edge rusher, offensive tackle. Three needs, two picks. As much as Baltimore loves to acquire more picks, they are in the perfect position to get their guys. Here’s my rundown of available players I can them taking: Rashod Bateman, Joseph Ossai, Jayson Oweh, Joe Tryon, Alex Leatherwood, Samuel Cosmi, Trevon Moehrig.
That helps no one. They tend not to pick offensive linemen too high — guard Tyre Phillips was their sixth pick last year, Orlando Brown was a third-round pick and Ronnie Stanley was the sixth overall pick in 2016. Aside from those three, they haven’t addressed the position in the first three rounds since 2012.
Looking at the board, I can see Baltimore thinking they can snag their EDGE at No. 31. I’m not totally sold on wide receiver, but it fits the range where I see Bateman going. However, after some additional snooping, I’m slotting Leatherwood here.
I think he’ll go higher than most people think and can play multiple positions, something Eric DeCosta should love.
Alternative picks: Rashod Bateman, Joseph Ossai, Jayson Oweh, Joe Tryon, Alex Leatherwood, Elijah Moore
