CB. Patrick Surtain II. 123. Scouting Report. Alabama. 10. player. Pick Analysis

It never comes easy in the NFL Draft. That’s why I’m very cautious about this pick because it’s such a popular one. Could Dallas take Jaycee Horn instead? Sure. Could Rashawn Slater be a possibility? Absolutely.

Maybe Patrick Surtain II goes earlier to Carolina or Denver. I just keep coming back to this selection, which I feel better about than every pick following the Bengals’ pick. Never rule out something wild with Jerry Jones, though I’m probably going to stick with this pick. And it makes sense.

The Cowboys could use a new corner opposite Trevon Diggs, who played with Surtain for two years at Alabama. I can see this pick being made as soon as humanly possible by Dallas. Of course, you never know what can happen. In case you couldn’t tell, by the way, the draft is just a bunch of “maybes.” Nothing is certain.

With that said, I’m fairly certain this pick is Surtain. (Get it? Okay sorry, I’ll continue to the next pick.)

Alternative picks: Jaycee Horn, Rashawn Slater
