Final 2021 NFL Mock Draft: Jaguars take game-changer on D with No. 25

25. Jacksonville Jaguars (via LAR): Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, LB/S, Notre Dame

When compiling a predictive mock draft, one of the things that you always have to do is follow the breadcrumbs. And in the case of the Jaguars with their second pick in the first round that comes by way of the Jalen Ramsey trade, there are breadcrumbs leading to the franchise getting Trevor Lawrence another weapon in the passing offense.

With both Rashod Bateman and Kadairus Toney on the board, that would be the direction I would go. They are different players, to be sure, but both of them would be tremendous options for Lawrence to grow with and try to give this offense some pop right out of the gate in the No. 1 pick’s career.

As Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah is falling down the board, something I believe is a real possibility with the questions about his true position, I can’t see the Jaguars passing that up. This defense was once the strength of the team but that has gone by the wayside. There are nice young pieces but they need more playmakers. Having a chess piece that can be slotted into multiple roles like Owusu-Koramoah would be a huge help for that.

Who I Would Pick: Rashod Bateman or Kadarius Toney
