Dallas Cowboys: 5 Sleepers to target in 2021 NFL Draft
By Randy Gurzi
Most of the attention for the Dallas Cowboys in the 2021 NFL Draft is what they will do at No. 10, but here are 5 sleepers they could target later in the draft
With the 2021 NFL Draft finally here, Dallas Cowboys will finally get to see what their team will do with the 10th overall pick. Following a 6-10 campaign in 2020, the entire fan base is excited to see them land a stud with this premium pick.
However, there are many other picks the Cowboys have in this draft and as we have seen in the past, the best way to fix a roster is by hitting on more than just the No. 1 selection.
Dallas has done a fairly good job of this in the past — most notably the 2016 NFL Draft when they ended up with Dak Prescott in the fourth round and Anthony Brown in the sixth. They’ve also come up short in other years, but that’s the way it goes sometimes.
Here, we will be looking at five sleepers who they could find either late on Friday night or Saturday as the 2021 NFL Draft moves along.
5. Walker Little, OT, Stanford
There was a point where Walker Little was one of the hottest names when it came to offensive line prospects. The Stanford Cardinal was one of the more polished left tackles, especially when it came to protection in the passing game.
But then, the injuries started to pile up. Walker suffered a serious knee injury in 2019 and then opted out of the 2020 campaign. With him not seeing the field in two years now, he’s become a bit of a forgotten man but that could play into the hands of a team such as Dallas.
With there being a need behind Tyron Smith, the Cowboys could end up taking a chance on Little while still filling many of their other glaring needs.
