Najee Harris 2021 NFL Draft fits: 5 Best landing spots

3. Seattle Seahawks – No. 56 pick in 2021 NFL Draft
As one of the most consistent and stable franchises of the past 10 years, there is suddenly some discord in the Seattle Seahawks organization. Russell Wilson raised his displeasure at the system he has been a part of under Pete Carroll, raging against what Wilson views as a lack of pass protection from his offensive line and an overreliance on the running game.
Over the years, it is fair to say that the Seahawks organisation certainly could have protected Wilson a little better. The quarterback has been sacked 394 times across nine seasons in the NFL, averaging 44 a season.
Bringing in star quality talent is a great way to dampen displeasure in a team. The acquisition of a player like Najee Harris could be the perfect solution to bring harmony to the Seahawks’ dressing room.
Wilson wants to be “cut loose” and be allowed to show the same kind of gun slinging passing that Patrick Mahomes has unleashed on defences. Wilson was so displeased by the coaching decisions over the past number of seasons that he was open to a trade this offseason.
Carroll, for his part, has given signs that he may modernise with the coming years, but not many. He believes in keeping possession of the football through a solid ground game surrounded with complimentary passing plays. Wilson will have to be happy with a compromise.
Harris as a pick would complement both Wilson’s ideal system of pass galore and Carroll’s game management and ground and pound system. Harris’ unique skill set of pace, agility, power and high skill iq makes him an obvious candidate for any option on an offense. If the Seahawks were willing to gamble further discontent between their head coach and quarterback against Harris’ talent, they may reap exceptional rewards.
