NFL Draft: Redrafting the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft 10. Tyreek Hill

Originally selected 165th overall (+155)

The New York Giants were still giving Eli Manning a chance at this point, trying to make a last-second push to the Super Bowl. Odell Beckham Jr. just had a breakout season and the Giants figured that their offense was good enough, drafting Eli Apple to help patch up a pretty bad secondary.

The secondary continued to be bad despite pretty strong seasons from Apple. Maybe the defensive issues were beyond fixing, which is exactly why they’ll be taking an offensive player in this draft.

That’s right, the New York Giants will be doubling down at the wide receiver position, taking Tyreek Hill after a strong season from Odell Beckham Jr. This would make the wide receivers in New York virtually unguardable. The combined speed between these two players would be too much to overcome, making Eli Manning’s job easy.

Even if this one didn’t end up working out, Hill remains one of the most valuable players from that NFL Draft. He would have a lot of trade value down the road for a Giants team that is now amidst a rebuild.
