NFL Draft: Redrafting the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft 13. Justin Simmons

Originally selected 98th overall (+85)

The Miami Dolphins won’t be upset with how their first-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft turned out, but they could have done better. Laremy Tunsil was a really good pick, but in this draft, he has already been taken off the board.

The Dolphins’ offense would never amount to much anyway, so they’ll look to the other side of the ball this time around.
Queue Justin Simmons.

Simmons dropped to the third round as he was drafted to the Denver Broncos. The Broncos would get a steal in a player who has a Second-Team All-Pro appearance and a Pro Bowl selection in the past two seasons.

He’d fill a hole at cornerback that would help out a struggling Dolphins secondary. Even though he didn’t do much in his first couple of seasons, he has slowly become one of the better cornerbacks in the NFL and could have provided long-term stability in a Dolphins secondary that has never been very good.
