NFL Draft: Redrafting the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft 14. Jack Conklin

Originally selected 8th overall (-6)

As things continue, the Oakland Raiders picked a position that needed help in the NFL Draft, but their player didn’t necessarily pan out how they would have liked him to. Karl Joseph had a strong start to his NFL career, earning a spot on the PFWA All-Rookie team, but that would be the extent of his accolades.

The fifth-year option on his rookie contract would eventually be declined, sending him into free agency.

In the 2016 NFL redraft, the Raiders will have the opportunity to patch another hole on their team. This time, they’ll look to the offensive line as they draft Jack Conklin.

Conklin was originally taken by the Tennessee Titans but fell in this draft due to an excess of talent at the offensive tackle position. Make no mistake, he’s still an extremely talented offensive lineman.

In Oakland, which is now Las Vegas, Conklin could instantly give the Raiders a very strong offensive line as they also acquired Kelechi Osemele prior to the draft. Conklin has two First-Team All-Pro selections, solidifying himself as one of the best offensive linemen in the league.
This is likely the biggest steal of this redraft.
