NFL Draft: Redrafting the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft 16. James Bradberry

Originally selected 62nd overall (+46)

Fitting that these two teams picked back-to-back, as they’re similar in the sense that neither franchise found success of any type since this draft. The Lions took Taylor Decker with their pick and it wouldn’t work out.
I’d say that they should just choose another offensive tackle, but the best are already taken in this redraft, leaving Detroit to settle once again.

That said, they can get a strong cornerback option that will pay off in the future in James Bradberry. In the actual draft, Bradberry fell to the second-to-last pick of the second round, dropping into the hands of the Carolina Panthers.

It would take him a while to develop, but after being signed by the New York Giants a few years later, Bradberry would have a breakout season, making the Pro Bowl for the first time in his career.

If the Lions drafted him, this success would happen in Detroit, possibly even helping Matt Patricia not become the most hated man in the city.
