NFL Draft: Redrafting the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft 21. Will Fuller

Originally selected 21st overall (no movement)

With the 21st pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, the Houston Texans took Will Fuller, a draft selection that they’re likely still pretty pleased with. Sure, they could have gotten Tyreek Hill or Michael Thomas, but Fuller has been a strong receiver in the league, seemingly on the brink of a Pro Bowl appearance each year.

And as they say, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. The Texans found a good fit with Fuller, so I don’t see any reason why they should change this pick. Again, Fuller may not have the flashiest resume, but he’s been a reliable receiver and Houston knows he’s a good fit with their team.

Other than a few struggles with injury, Fuller has been steady from a statistical standpoint. In five seasons in the league, he has put up at least 400 yards in each season, playing in 11 games or less in all but one of his years in the league.

Fuller did recently part ways with the Texans, signing a one-year contract with the Miami Dolphins. That said, Houston had one of the most dangerous wide receiving units for a few years between Fuller and De’Andre Hopkins.
