The Dallas Cowboys ended up with Micah Parsons in Round 1 and added another pick in Round 3 on Thursday. Now, we predict what they do on Friday and Saturday

Sitting at No. 10 in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys were hopeful to land Jaycee Horn or Patrick Surtain but when they were off the board, they went with Plan B.

This plan included dropping down two picks and while they did help the Philadelphia Eagles get a wide receiver they needed, it did give them another third-round pick as they will now select at No. 84 on Friday night.

They also were able to still land the player who was likely next on their board behind Surtain and Horn as they took Penn State linebacker Micah Parsons. While we can debate whether or not a linebacker in Round 1 us smart until we are blue in the face, the good news is Parsons is a very talented player.

Still, there are holes all over the roster that still need attention and we try our best to fill those spots in this Day 2 and Day 3 2021 NFL Mock Draft.

Round 2, Pick 44: Jevon Holland, S, Oregon

There were no safeties taken in the first round of the draft but that should change quickly in the second. Dallas has shown interest in Trevon Moehrig but he’s likely going to be gone within the first few selections in Round 2.

If they don’t trade up (they do have the stock to do just that), they could still land a potential star in Jevon Holland from Oregon. A true free safety, Holland does something Dallas has struggled to accomplish for years — he gets turnovers.

The question becomes whether or not they’re comfortable using their top two picks on players who opted out of the 2020 season. There’s nothing wrong at all with them doing that but they could end up with a couple of players who need to spend the first few weeks knocking the rust off.

Of course, adding Damontae Kazee in free agency means they can afford to do just that and Holland is going to be a long-term starter in this league.
