Round 3, Pick 99: Stone Forsythe, OT, Florida

Tyron Smith has been dealing with one injury after another since 2016. Dallas is convinced he can play this season but they shouldn’t be. Instead, they need to be drafting players who they can develop behind him.

Enter Stone Forsythe from Florida. He played on the left side for much of his career with the Gators but did go to the right side at times as well. That helps as it means he and Ty Nsekhe could both fill in for either Smith or La’el Collins but his future is likely on the blindside.

Forsythe helps protect Dallas from injuries now but in the long-term, he could end up being the answer they need at tackle in 2022 and beyond.

Round 4, Pick 115: Dayo Odeyingbo, EDGE, Vanderbilt

When looking at Dayo Odeyingbo, one thing stands out — his size. The Vanderbilt product is 6-foot-6 and 265-pounds and has played all over the D-line for the Commodores. He’s still raw, however, which is why he’s on the board in Round 4 but he’s a player who makes sense in Dallas.

Currently, the Cowboys depth chart at defenisve end is lacking and Odeyingbo could not only help in that are but he’s also someone who can line up at the three-tech and provide a pass rusher from the interior.
