NFL Draft 2021: Baltimore Ravens pick Jayson Oweh, compares to Terrell Suggs

How quickly they forgot. At one point in time, a conversation pertaining to the best defensive players in the league could not be had without defensive end, Terrell Suggs. While both injuries and age (38) have slowed him down considerably, before he reached his dog days in the league, he was arguably the best in the business.

If forced to pick the next player who can ultimately have a Terrell Suggs type effect on the game long term, one would have to point to newly drafted defensive end, Jayson Oweh. While at Penn State, he was a dominant player.

Forget about simply using brute strength, it was the freakish speed he displayed that left quarterbacks rushing to get the ball out of their hands as soon as possible. At the next level, Oweh figures to bring the heat from the moment he steps foot on the field. Although his speed and obvious power left him head and shoulders above the competition on most nights, his ability to adjust to players who are equally as gifted as him that will lead him to success.
