Trevor Lawrence and Travis Etienne aren’t worried about making the Jacksonville Jaguars roster but there are a handful of UDFA signings who could also join them making final cuts.

The Jacksonville Jaguars came away with a good collection of talent in the 2021 NFL Draft, most notably starting with Trevor Lawrence at No. 1 overall and then adding his college teammate, Travis Etienne, later in the first round. They then continued with a solid collection of talent.

On top of that, though, the Jaguars may have been the team that came away with the most talent in terms of UDFAs following the draft. And some of these players look like more than just camp bodies.

Let’s take a look at three guys who have a very good shot at making the final roster come training camp.

Jacksonville Jaguars UDFA signings who can make the final roster

3. LB Dylan Moses, Alabama

It is criminal that Dylan Moses went undrafted. This is a guy who was the quarterback of the Crimson Tide defense and among the best linebackers in the country in 2018 before he tore his ACL and missed all of 2019.

That said, he came back in 2020 and played well. He wasn’t as dominant as he was pre-injury, but the talent is still there. If you recall, the Jaguars drafted Myles Jack after he injured his knee and that has seemed to pay off nicely. With the clear lack of linebacker depth and talent on the Jaguars roster, I’d put money down that Moses makes the 53-man roster.

2. CB D.J. Daniel, Georgia

Daniel is another guy that I’m surprised went undrafted. He played in a loaded Georgia secondary that featured Tyson Campbell and Eric Stokes, who got a little more of the national attention, but let’s not sleep on the abilities of Daniel. He was one of the defensive backs I paid close attention to in Mobile during Senior Bowl practices.

He is very solid in man coverage and there was a 7-on-7 drill in which the play went on for at least 15 seconds, and Daniel was not shaken and stayed with his man the entire way through, earning verbal praise from his defensive back counterparts. At the very least, Daniel will be a special teams contributor for the Jaguars, but I can definitely see him as part of the cornerback rotation this fall.

1. WR Tim Jones, Southern Mississippi

Jones had a solid career while at Southern Miss, amassing 150 catches over a four-year span. He’s very good at getting open in the middle of the field and would be a solid slot option at the next level.

A few factors played into Jones going undrafted; playing at a small school and missing time in 2020. That said, he is a guy with good size and ball skills who can make a roster and work his way up.
