Week 6: Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears

My bet would be that Justin Fields has taken over the Bears offense by this point, which is what honestly should happen in Week 1. Chicago simply has a much higher ceiling with the Ohio State product under center than with Andy Dalton as the starter.

Rodgers and the Pack would still be too much for Chicago and a young quarterback to match. However, with Love or Bortles, Green Bay would be overmatched by the Bears defense and Fields would give just enough of an edge for the rivals to win at Soldier Field.

Prediction with Rodgers: Win | Prediction without Rodgers: Loss

Week 7: Washington Football Team at Green Bay Packers

Considering that Washington made it to the playoffs as NFC East champs last season almost wholly on the strength of their defense, that doesn’t bode particularly well for either Love or Bortles if they were to start this game. Heck, it means it’s probably not an easy night for Rodgers either. Moreover, the Football Team offense should be improved with Ryan Fitzpatrick at quarterback.

All told, Green Bay wins this one close with the reigning MVP starting and likely loses big if he’s elsewhere.

Prediction with Rodgers: Win | Prediction without Rodgers: Loss

Week 8: Green Bay Packers at Arizona Cardinals (TNF)

On a short week after a tough home game against Washington, going on the road to face the explosive Cardinals is going to be tough no matter what Green Bay’s quarterback situation looks like. Rodgers, as per usual, should have enough firepower to attack the Arizona defense and the same likely isn’t true for his possible replacements. But on the short week going on the road, things will get weird in either game.
