Week 12: Los Angeles Rams at Green Bay Packers

This is one of those games where I sorely hope that Aaron Rodgers is on the field. Matthew Stafford is now in Los Angeles and is more than familiar with the kings of the NFC North. But now he has a strong offense around him both in talent and scheme. Moreover, we all know about the playmakers on defense with Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey.

Still, I think Green Bay is more complete with Rodgers and could scrape out a home win. Love and Bortles, on the other hand, would have a lot of trouble.

Week 13: Bye Week

With the late bye week, we truly see the stark difference between what the Green Bay Packers would look like with and without Rodgers. If he’s under center, they’re likely fighting for the top seed in the NFC. Without him, they’re in the top-10 pick conversation for the 2022 NFL Draft.

Bye Week Record with Rodgers: 9-3 | Bye Week Record without Rodgers: 4-8

Week 14: Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers

There was part of me that looked at the second matchup between the Bears and Packers and wanted to give Chicago the victory so that the rivalry could be split for the year. Furthering that is the fact that I believe Field could be hitting his stride by this point. But even with that, a Rodgers-Fields matchup is still an advantage to the veteran every single time. Thus, this is another split result based on who Green Bay starts at quarterback.

Week 15: Green Bay Packers at Baltimore Ravens

Another explosive and tough matchup on the Packers schedule, a trip to Baltimore could spell trouble with or without Rodgers at the helm. Not only is the blitz-happy Ravens defense a possible problem for a Green Bay O-line still with some questions but the versatile and speedy offense under Lamar Jackson is just a bad, bad matchup for the Pack. Ultimately, this game is coming down to Baltimore just being too much for the Green Bay defense to handle.
