Miami Dolphins schedule: 3 Games fans should be circling
By Tadhg Flynn
2. vs. New York Jets – Week 15 (Dec. 19)
Calling the Jets the most consistently disappointing team in the league wouldn’t be far from the truth — if not the outright truth. Subsequently, the Dolphins have an opportunity to prove they’ve risen from the cellar of the league by dominating a young team from New York.
Gang Green has been the epitome of poor front office management and player development for roughly 20 years. There have been no playoff appearances since 2010 and that only looks grimmer when you consider that New York has only been to one AFC Championship Game in the last two decades. Moreover, they are turning the page on the Sam Darnold era after failing to surround him with the personnel on the field and sidelines to aid his development.
Sometimes, however, one player is all that’s needed to turn fans around. And the Jets are going to be must-see TV in the 2021 season thanks to the arrival of quarterback Zach Wilson, the No. 2 overall pick in this year’s draft. He brings a level of excitement to the Jets fan base given his natural talent and the hope for how he can progress.
Coming off Miami’s bye week at the end of the year, this is a crucial spot for the Dolphins. This could be a must-win game as they come into the home stretch fighting for the division or a wild card spot. Given that and the newfound optimism for the Jets, this will be a key game for fans to tune in form.
